Addendum to Chihuly: The Nature of Glass

I have been enthralled by what everyone is saying and writing about Dale Chihuly and his amazing work, "The Nature of Glass". Until May 30th, you can catch it at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix Arizona - or bits and pieces of it in the comfort of your own home at the following links. Enjoy!

My original post - in case you missed it . . .

Very interesting posts. I love garden paths and am working on my woodland ones.

I saw Chihuly at the Atlanta Botanical Garden when there. The size of some of the pieces is awe inspiring.

We went to the exhibit twice. First at Christmas when it was very crowded then in January- much better to have the place to yourself- well not quite but I managed to photograph without people. I thought it was wonderful and perfect for the DBG- not that those cactus need anything to enhance them.

MN GARDEN - Now that I've seen this display once, you can bet I'll be looking for it in another setting. I wonder how many hours Chihuly spent determining what goes where - it's not like re-arranging those pieces would be easy.

ROSE - Sorry I missed your DBG/Chihuly post. I've added a link now.

I think his work is also featured prominently in the lobby of the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. They have a two or three story tall installation. It was breathtaking!
